Chaozhou factories brought ceramics and home goods to a Shenzhen cross-border fair

On 4 September 2026, a group of Chaozhou manufacturers showed up at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center in Futian for the seventh CHWE global cross-border e-commerce fair. Chaozhou Daily covered the trip the next day — not as a tourism postcard, as a sourcing room with samples on the table.

What they brought, according to the report: daily-use ceramics, smart bathroom hardware, stainless kitchenware, and home crafts — including pieces aimed at overseas tastes, not only domestic SKUs. Chaozhou is still called a porcelain city for a reason; the fair was a way to put that supply chain in front of people who actually ship abroad.

What happened on the floor

The city also ran a dedicated Chaozhou industry matching session. The write-up says about 22 cross-border sellers / professional buyers sat with ten-plus Chaozhou source factories in one-to-one talks. Some exchanged contacts and planned sample shipments on the spot. That is the useful part — not the banner slogans.

One bathroom maker on the floor (Xiao Ai smart bathroom, per the paper) talked about OEM / ODM for overseas brands. A fair organiser quoted in the piece pointed at Chaozhou’s cluster strength: ceramics, bathroom, gifts — and said the match rate felt high that day.

Overseas buyers who hire a China personal shopper often start on Taobao and forget cities like Chaozhou exist as full supply belts. We sit in Huizhou and Shenzhen, which means Shenzhen trade shows are next door. When a porcelain and home-goods cluster walks into Futian with physical samples, that is closer to how factory-direct actually works than another “China is rising” headline.
