Hong Kong Customs Seizes ~38,000 Suspected Fakes — Why Honest Shoppers Care

Hong Kong Customs, working with Mainland and Macao counterparts, ran a joint enforcement push from 20–31 July 2026. The focus was cross-boundary and transshipment of suspected counterfeit goods — parcels and cargo moving through the Pearl River Delta toward the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

According to reporting that tracks the HKSAR government release, Hong Kong Customs picked up 23 cases at local express couriers and logistics companies, and seized about 38,000 suspected counterfeit items — watches, phones, bags, clothing, footwear — with an estimated market value around HK$15 million.

That is not a “bad luck for someone else” story if you hire a China personal shopper.

• Is the listing a named factory / studio SKU, or a logo that belongs to someone else?
• Will they put product / freight / service on one English quote?
• Do they refuse fake bags, watches, sneakers, and electronics — or only smile and say “no problem”?
