Every overseas buyer who's sourced from China has had that moment. You find a listing, the photos look great, the price is suspiciously good, and you think: *is this authentic, or am I about to buy 500 units of disappointment?*

Here's how we actually avoid China counterfeits without pretending we have X-ray vision.

Step 1: We Don't Trust the Listing. We Trust the Paper Trail.

Marketplace listings are marketing. A seller can write "100% original" in bold red font and still ship you a knockoff. So we don't start with the listing — we start with the seller.

For verified sellers China sourcing, we check:

• Business license (营业执照) — real company, real address, real legal rep.
• Brand authorization letters if the product claims to be branded. No letter, no deal.
• Transaction history on the platform — not just star ratings, but how long they've been active and whether disputes cluster around authenticity.

Step 2: The Sample Isn't Just for Looks

When you order a sample through us, we don't just photograph it and say "looks good!" We check the things counterfeiters cut corners on:

• Stitching density — real brands often use tighter, more consistent stitching. We count stitches per inch on textiles when the spec calls for it.
• Hardware weight and finish — zippers, buckles, buttons. Fakes feel light and gritty.
• Label placement and font — logos get slightly squished or misspelled on fakes. We zoom in.
• Packaging print quality — barcodes, hangtags, polybag printing.

One honest note: we don't have a scale weigh for every SKU yet. If weight matters for your authentication check, tell us and we'll get a gram-level reading from the factory or our QC partner before you commit. We won't invent a number.

Step 3: QC Before Shipping China — The Last Gate

This is where most counterfeit problems get caught. QC before shipping China isn't a checkbox — it's a physical inspection before the goods leave the country.

1. Pre-shipment inspection at the factory or a third-party QC warehouse in Shenzhen or Huizhou. 2. Random sampling — not just the top of the carton. We pull from the middle and bottom. 3. We use PayPal for many client transactions because it gives buyers a dispute path. For larger orders, we work with bank transfer or platform escrow where available. We're not going to tell you one payment method is magic — but we will tell you: never wire money to a stranger's personal account. That's how counterfeiters vanish.

Step 5: When "Brand" Isn't the Point

Sometimes you're not buying a branded product — you're buying a design or a 孤品 (one-of-a-kind piece) from a small studio. In those cases, "counterfeit" isn't the risk. The risk is misrepresentation — the maker says silk, it's polyester; says handmade, it's factory-stamped.

What We Won't Do

We won't scrape Xiaohongshu or Amazon photos and pretend that's sourcing. We won't tell you a product is authentic because a seller said so. And we won't promise zero risk — because international sourcing always has some. What we promise is process: verified sellers, physical QC, and honest reporting.
