Tin-lid hucheng & jianshui — drip stands under a gongfu pot

Gongfu tea looks calm until the pot drips. Then you either live with a wet desk — or you put something under the pot that is allowed to get wet.

That something is usually a hucheng (shallow teapot stand) or a jianshui (waste-water vessel). Same family of job: catch water so the table does not. Different shapes, different manners.

We just listed eleven handmade tin-lid pieces. Pure tin lids carved by hand over ceramic (or lacquer) bodies. Stock is 1. The photo is the piece. No AI lifestyle mockups — these are the studio's real shots of the exact units.

Hucheng vs jianshui (without the museum tone)

Hucheng — shallow stand under the teapot or gaiwan. Catches drips, keeps the desk dry, finishes the set. Think "plate with a carved tin roof," not a mug.

Jianshui — taller little vessel for rinse water and spent leaves under the pot or fairness cup. Water drains through openings in the tin lid into the body below. Looks like a small sculpture; works like a drip tray.

You can own both. Many desks only need one. If you brew wet-style and hate wiping wood every round, start with a jianshui. If you want the pot to sit on something pretty and low, start with a hucheng.

Jianshui

• Qinggong / lacquer body — lattice + still-life carving on tin; heavier desk piece.
• Blooming Peony — peony and lattice on the lid.
• Peace Gourd — gourd motif; compact.
• Flower Mouth — drain cut as a flower.
• Pine Needle — quieter, smaller lid.

Hucheng

• Deer & Coin — deer and pine around a coin-shaped drain.
• Fortune Horse / copper rim — denser carving, copper-bound edge.
• Octagon Pavilion — larger footprint for a bigger pot.
• Lady at Tea — figure + lattice; still a working drip tray.
• Summer Lotus — lotus and lattice, low profile.
• Plum Branch — long slim stand, winter motif.

Care (boring, useful)

• Wipe the tin dry after use. Do not soak the lid overnight in a sink full of tea.
• Hand-wash the ceramic / lacquer body. We do not claim dishwasher or microwave.
• Hand carving means line weight and hammer marks vary. That is the point — not a factory stamp twin.
• One-of-a-kind: if it sells, we hunt a cousin, not a clone. Quality issues → refund with photos; we cannot swap an identical piece.
