Custom Cuban Bracelet: Measure the Wrist Before the Clasp

October 3, 2026 · YueFetch

A custom Cuban bracelet is a wrist measurement, then a clasp, then a finish. A rigid bangle is the piece I cannot lengthen.

On 1 October 2026, JCK published Brittany Siminitz's September inbox roundup. She writes that the holidays have already started for jewelers. One caption in that piece is a bangle bracelet in 18k white gold with sapphires and diamonds, price on request, from La Marquise Jewellery. I do not sell that bangle. Price on request is a normal way to list an 18k piece in a trade roundup. It tells me nothing about your wrist.

A bangle is one rigid loop. I cannot add two links because you sent a centimeter. A Cuban bracelet is links plus a clasp, so the length is a number I can actually buy to.

Length is the wrist, plus the slack you want

Measure where the bracelet will sit, in centimeters. Then say how much slack you want. Snug on the bone is a different bracelet from one that clears a watch. I do not publish a chart that turns "medium" into a length. A wide link eats more of that slack than a thin one, and two people with the same tape reading can still want different room.

If you already own a Cuban that fits, photograph it next to a ruler and say whether you want the same length or a change. "A bit longer" is how the wrong piece gets packed. A necklace length is a different measurement. I will not turn a chain into a bracelet with a guess.

The clasp is part of the size

Name the clasp, or circle it on the photo. A box clasp sits flatter and can be fiddly with one hand. A lobster is easier to open and can stick out. If you skip it, I ask before I buy. A clasp you cannot work is a bracelet that lives in a drawer.

I will not pretend every Cuban uses one closure. The photo is the spec. If the maker's clasp is different from the one in your picture, you hear that before you pay.

Finish is the line in the quote

Finish is the color you want to see. If the quote does not say solid gold, you are not buying the 18k bangle from that JCK caption, and you are not buying a melt-value piece. Gold tone is the color. It is not a karat I weighed.

I buy fashion jewelry in Guangdong. Checking happens there. I do not run a warehouse. After you pay, a freight forwarder in Huizhou or Shenzhen exports the parcel and sends tracking. You see photos of the real item before it ships. That is the piece in the carton.

What to send

Keep it short:

1. Cuban, plus a photo or a maker link if you have one. 2. Length in centimeters, the clasp, and the finish. 3. The destination country.

I reply with three lines: the product, international shipping after the carton is weighed, and the service fee. On business days that is usually within 24 hours. Hours are Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 21:00 GMT+8. You pay that quote before I buy. PayPal to hello@yuefetch.com, a Payoneer Request a Payment, or a card.

Eligible all-light catalog orders of USD 199 or more can ship free to the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, and Japan. One custom bracelet usually misses that, so freight is its own weighed number. After dispatch, many countries take about 7 to 15 business days. That is the published window. A holiday customs hall can still sit on the box. If your country charges duty, you pay it.

A general Taobao or 1688 cart goes to a forwarder like Superbuy. The form for this work is Custom Source. WhatsApp is +86 134 2285 5855. If you only needed the length written down, the companion note is Cuban link chain length.

The limit

A trade caption does not size a wrist. Send the centimeters, the clasp, and the finish. If the quote does not say solid gold, do not read solid gold into the color.
