China Personal Shopper Cost: Three Lines, Not a Per-Pound Fee

On 30 September 2026, Kadima Logistics updated its note on the DHL Express demand surcharge period. Kadima says DHL Express US runs that period from 1 October 2026 until 5 February 2027. The table splits origin, destination, service, and billing-weight unit. Fuel surcharge applies. The warning on that page is the one I would tape to a quote: a flat per-shipment guess does not stand in for a charge based on billable weight.

The numbers live on DHL's US demand surcharge page, which DHL marks updated 28 August 2026. For the time-definite services named there — DHL Express Worldwide, 12:00, 10:30, 9:00, Envelope, and Breakbulk — a China or Hong Kong origin to an Americas destination is 1.03 USD per lb of billing weight. The same origin to Europe is 0.96 USD per lb. Day Definite International, listed as Economy Select and Economy Breakbulk, is a flat 0.07 USD per lb for the whole demand period. Fuel surcharge applies on top.

Read that as DHL Express, on DHL's lanes, in DHL's weight unit. It is not the shipping line on a carton a forwarder in Huizhou or Shenzhen hands over. I will not multiply 1.03 by a planning weight and call it your freight.

What the three lines are

The Custom Source page shows an example, and it labels that example as not a real order. The sample is an 8mm Cuban bracelet, custom length, shipping to the United States:

1. Product, $128. 2. International shipping, $22–32, after the carton is weighed. 3. Service fee, $35.

You pay that quote first. Then I buy, and a Guangdong freight forwarder exports. The page says this is not a Superbuy price. A live quote is written for your piece and your country. Those three numbers are the shape of the bill, not a price I will honor for a wrist I have not seen.

On business days the reply is usually within 24 hours. Hours are Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 21:00 GMT+8. You pay before I buy. PayPal, a Payoneer Request a Payment, or a card — only through checkout or the instructions we send. The mailbox on the site is hello@yuefetch.com.

YueFetch is registered in Hong Kong. Buying and checking happen in Guangdong. I do not run a warehouse. After you pay, a freight forwarder in Huizhou or Shenzhen exports and sends tracking. After dispatch, many countries take about 7 to 15 business days. That window is typical. A peak-season customs hall can still sit on the box. If your country charges import duty, you pay it. I do not fold it into the service fee.

A listed price is a different bill

A piece already on the shelf is not that example. The Cuban hex-cut bracelet with a CZ cowboy clasp, steel, 9mm by 19cm is USD 16.99. The page says accessory-only orders to the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, or Japan have free international freight, and that freight is already in the shelf price. Other destinations get freight after the packed carton is weighed. The planning weight on that page is about 35g before packing. Stock on the page is 8. Dispatch is Guangdong, via a freight forwarder. The shipping window on the page is 7–15 business days.

The shipping policy still has the wider rule. Eligible all-light orders of USD 199 or more ship free to those same five countries. Every other physical order is quoted after we weigh the parcel. A single listed bracelet to the US is the accessory-only case, so you are not waiting on $199 to see the freight. A custom length, clasp, or finish is the three-line quote, because the carton is not the one on the shelf.

Quality complaints need a stated reason. The window is 20 days. Changing your mind is not a refund I offer.

What I will not price

Custom jewelry is the request I take. Cuban or tennis, length, clasp, finish. Other categories are limited or declined. A general Taobao or 1688 cart belongs with a forwarder like Superbuy. If I cannot do the piece, I say so before you pay.

The limit

A DHL per-pound cell does not hire anyone, and it does not weigh a box in Guangdong. The cost is the three lines on the quote you approve. If the quote does not say solid gold, it is not a quote for solid gold.
